I just scored this 13hp LT in a trade and was wondering if Anyone could ID the frame. The guy I got it from said that it was a home build (not by him). If it is a home build, someone did a damn good job,, evertyhing is down to the 16th. I think it has about a 65" shaft that is 3/4" dia..

Also, the guy told me the prop was crap. What props should I be lookin at?

Definately homemade. At least the shaft thread is a common 3/4. Call backwater and tell them your horsepower, they will hook u up with a prop

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking it was home made. Maybe from the mad MM plans? Eigther way its built legit.. The transom mount is crap so I gotta redo that but other than that Im feelin good about it. Gotta add a safety kill switch and a throttle cable and Im good to go I think...

The bushings and seals or lack of will prob give problems . I say get it running good, enjoy it for a bit, then sell it and upgrade :D

I think its got 3 bushings in it,, Atleast theres 3 set screws that look like they would hold bushings. If it ever comes to too much trouble I wonder if I could make Backwaters enclosed bearing sets work?? Recon Ill cross that bridge when I get there. I got about 5 or so acres of swamp on the back of my property and I aint diggin waiding through it in the dark with the gators. Iv never been able to hunt that place like I want to until now. Between there and dickin off in a few creeks around here I probably wont put 20hrs a year on the engine.

It will probably be fine, keep it greased and out of the water when not in use and the bushings will last longer than you think
