This is what I found when I was rebuilding the carb last night. This is the piece the fuel solenoid goes into.

Are you or have you been using a fuel additive? Marine stabil, startron etc.? It would seem not since all the corrosion that I see. With the nasty ass ethanol in the gas its imperative you run it with every tank and add it immediately after pumping your fuel. Are you running a fuel/water separator filter? If not invest in one and plumb it up.

I run Star-tron fuel additive in everything I use anymore. It's cheap and after a mower shop told me that they don't have to clean carbs anymore on new mowers after sitting all winter, it sold me on it.

If your motor has a valve cover mounted fuel pump, you might want to check on to see if that is causing your fuel into the oil problem. The fuel hoses will run to a pump on one of the valve covers. It is mechanical and has a diaphram that can go bad and leak fuel into the cylinders through the valves. I didn't know if your motor was a kit that someone put a mower engine onto.

Good luck

Here's the update,
I put my boat in the water and hunted this weekend but it only idols with the choke in but if I want to run it wide open the choke has to be half pulled out and if you pull it all the way out when giving full throttle it dies. I only got up to about 14 mph max but most of the time it was running pretty slow. My prop seemed to dive a little deep though, could that be a problem for my speed? I also did run it in deep water I was thinking maybe that could be the problem as well on the speed.

I'm thinking I'm just going to buy a new carburetor. I have been looking a lot I just don't know which one to get, my motor is a Kohler Command Pro 27 ch740. and the carburetor I have now is a Keihin 24 053 91
Do any of y'all have any advice on what kind to get, I really am not trying to spend an arm and a leg but I also don't want no junk

the keihin d slides are good, and the mikuni tm flat slides are too. probably something in the 33-36mm range would do well.
