| Post subject: | EFI fuel filter |
I replaced the fuel filter on my BW 26.5 EFI LT (Kohler). The literature says to use a 10 micron filter. The original filter was a small volume clear one; the only replacement I could find was a Kohler 15 micron larger capacity white opaque one. I ran the motor yesterday and it seemed fine, and the fuel flow actually looked better. Should I be concerned about the 5 micron difference? If anyone has a part number please advise, I have looked online but only find the larger micron (anywhere from 25-75) type and I know that is asking for problems. On Stu's 37 EFI motor review pic I noticed it had the larger canister type fuel filter. |

What I got is the Kohler 24 050 13 S1 filter, 15 micron. I cannot find a specific 10 micron fuel filter for EFI application. |

Correction: The 37 EFI review was posted by Frank, not Stu! Thanks again, Frank, and any updates are again welcome! |
