Ordered and sent off my check , For a new Swomp lite 40 Frame. Its going on a clean 16 x 44 Go Devil Hull. Short transom Model. This will be the second Backwater longtail in our arsenal . For the area this rig will be used, hard sandy bottoms in the central Texas area, I felt it would be the best option. Once it gets here and I mount it, I will review and post some pics. Something about these GoDevil Hulls, with a backwater longtail that just appeals to me. H Finn |

Huck, please post up some pictures and stats when you get this up and running. Looking at a similar setup and want to know speeds with 2 guys and gear. Thanks, can't wait to hear how she runs. |

Dang! I envy that. I love my 26.5 EFI on my grizzly 1648....would love a true flat hull of course! Any suggestions for a new or used purchase? My wife might better understand a new hull- my motor is only on its third season. |

I but a 40 BW on a 1844 Go-Devil and was very happy, mid to high 20's empty. With a big load (3 fat ass guys, dog , blind, decoys, bucket seats etc..) I will still run 20. |

So, Huck, have you run the 40 yet? I know the weather has been mostly brutal but hoping you had a maiden voyage? |

Rode Saturday.. Both longtails out , the 23 and the 40. Scouting in our old locales, The last spring floods really silted in our main flat. The hard sandy bottoms are Ideal for these setups. I did have to get out and push in my 23, when I ran out of bottom. I misjudged 1/2" sheet water to be a little deeper. The 40 drives so easy.. effortless. Cant wait till seasons here. H Finn |
