Announcing the 2nd Annual Mud Bugs & Mud Boats ride in Wallisville, TX

I wanted to get this out early because dates are rapidly filling up.

April 16, 2011 is the date (Saturday) that we are shooting for.

Wallisville sits 45 min East of Houston & 10 minutes East of Baytown, it is roughly the halfway point between Port Neches (Beaumont) & Houston. Many great places to stay if folks need information on lodging there are some good clean hotels in the area with ample parking for around $50-60 / night.

We typically run this only 1 day however if we have a lot of people coming in we can ride in other parts of the project.

T-shirts will be made and need to be pre-ordered, same as last year.

I have a different crew coming in to cook the bugs so you Louisiana guys come on over and show us Texans how its done :mrgreen: :lol:

I will post more details as the months get closer. But please mark your calendars this was a fun event last year!

I already have the t-shirt designer working on some modifications with the logo, perhaps a different color shirt this year to switch it up but for them most part I think everyone liked the design for the shirts. Here is last years:

Will be in N AR that weekend in a treehouse making monkey noises. But do everyone a favor and let one of the coonazz' cook the bugs this year. It hurt just looking at the pics of last years boil................. :lol:

If I am off work that weekend I will attend and help Brad supervise the crawfish boilin...

I once boiled a couple sacks in College Station the same way i do here and them boys couldnt handle them.

I like them spicy, not stupid. I think some folks try to show their manhood by firing things up so much you can hardly eat them. I like to be able to taste the last just like the first one.

Looks like I may not be able to attend the SETX run because of work. Someone just quit so it will be tough. Will have a new person in before April. Plus the wife is due for number two May 9th. May be my last weekend to myself for some time.

It's looking like it is going to be another great event. We have a lot of members interested in coming, last year was our first time holding it and much thanks to TonyB for allowing us the forum and the "as seen on MMT" logo that accompanies our T-shirts. Without him none of this would be possible.

Rough estimates of numbers would be $15 for the t-shirt you pick your size & pre-order a month before the event. I can make forms & online forms if that would help those coming? $20-$30 for Crawfish ( all you can eat ) this just depends on price & the number of people we have coming out if someone is coming in from LA we may coordinate cheaper prices depending upon the wholesale prices we are getting from our suppliers here in TX.

We'll have tables, Ice Tea & Water, BYOB.

It is legal to consume alcohol on the water in Texas while operating your motor. You CAN get a BWI (boating while intoxicated) for this reason we suggest koozies, not acting like an idiot and when we get up to the pavilion at the ramp for the boil we will supply everyone with plastic cups to pour their beverage in. Game Wardens regularly patrol this area and we are guaranteed to all get stopped as a group once. Registration must be valid & accurate (not expired) and proper life jackets must be on the boat for all persons on the boat.

Let' keep it fun & safe like last year :mrgreen:
