Post Best way to get a solid pushpole???
I am wanting either a go devil or gator trax push pole, but it is going to cost me $100 just to get it shipped. I have no dealers close by for either one. Anybody got any suggestions for getting one back to north alabama?

Bamboo. I've had two richmar aluminum push poles, a custom made ash push pole, and an Avery. I cut a bamboo pole last fall and used it all season. As it cures, it gets lighter. It is the best push pole I've ever used.

It is light, strong, doesn't bang up other stuff, it floats, it doesn't require painting, its Free!, and you can have replacements stacked up in your shop ready to go.

Mudbuddy sells a push pole foot on their accessory page that is pretty nice. Pick up some aluminum tubing locally, weld 'er on, and voila...solid push pole.
