We cain't figure what got us the other day .... but up in the shallows .. mines partner and me both gots stung by somthin' that felt mo worse than a RedWasp and left a mark 'bout 1/2 to 1 inch long !!! I put the Google on it and cain't find nothin' !!!

I've been wadin' and a swimmin' all mines life in the area lakes and I ain't never been attacked like we were the other day. It's gonna take me a long time to git over this dramatic occasions. Just thank ifin' that feller would have gotten into yore personnels !!! Just a bite/stang on the foot had us squealin' like a little biss girls !!!!

not sure. What I read said something like a needle type bite comparable to a mosquito. I be havin a half inch cut lookin thing, and hurt like hell. You get on of those on big boy, and you wouldnt even get in bath water no more!!

Them little backswimmers will leave a small spot on ya where they stung ya.....like a wasp sting.

Brooks what you desribed bittin you sounds like a shumungapod. You better go get checked out by your doctor. Tell him a shumungapod bit you so dat he can treat you properly. These things have a delayed venom. It will look like it is OK and gettin better then two weeks later BAM da poison sets in. It can be deadly if not treated properly. However death is rare it usually will just result in an amputation.
