Magic Tilt is making a real nice aluminum trailer right now, perfect for these rigs. Boatdr sells them in the New Orleans area.

I'd swap my McClain for one in a second.

I'm looking at buying a tandem axle Fast Load aluminum trailer . Includes PVC guide on post and sealed oil system bearings instead of greased bearings. They are the cheapest Iv seen online. Looks like a solid trailer. 2095$

What about having the boat builder build one?

Why is that. I had a guy build the frame for me. Then it put it all together.

Mcclain and magic tilt are both good trailers, I always get aluminum. The sealed bearings are really sweet!

My aluminum magic tilt is very nice. My boat sits much lower than it did on a maclain.

The lower the boat the better as it gets off the trailer quicker and easier. Also being lower makes it easier to get you and your gear in and out.

Just about every trailer I have had I've redone the boards to sit lower. Even with V bottom boats. It makes your life easier. There was a thread not long ago discussing this. I'll be redoing the brackets on my new McLain before I ever take it to the ramp. I'll have the boat off of it for gator glide, so, why not?

It takes some redrilling but it's easy. I haven't decided if I'm going to use the little L brackets or just bolt my boards straight to the trailer on top of the channel iron cross members. Either way you have to drill holes. Make sure every hole you drill gets re-sprayed with cold galvanizing and dries before you stick bolts back thru.

My last flat bottom trailer I just used 3 2x6's cut to length and bolted the to the trailer with stainless carriage bolts. I let the impact sink the heads into the wood so they didn't stick up and rub the boat. Carpeted over them and you could never tell a difference. Looked good, boat was way lower on the trailer and launched/loaded easier because the side bunks actually touched the boat. There wasn't a bunch of room to go side to side. Made loading in wind/current much easier.

I don't have an issue side to side. I just have to go so far back, I have to climb in bed of truck and climb on trailer to work winch. I gotta go way to far to launch and load

I'm looking forward to being able to back mine down where it's just over the water and shove the big bastard off the trailer lol.

My old boat didn't have GG but I had the trailer set up so well I could load that thing in a damn strong current after having WAAAAY too many sodas. Lol

I know you guys have seen this. I put GG on the bucks and I have zero wear on my boat and don't have to worry about trapping sand in carpet or premature rotting from holding moisture. Tperkins beat me to it in the video and hopefully chime in if he found any negatives about it.

Also may want to conceder a raised roller in the back
This is the back of my airboat but works the same on my mud boat. I put just under the water for loading and it holds the boat on so I can hook the nose. When launching you just let it float over it. This one is pinned so I can take it out and dry launch
