 Hydraulic pipe benders
Trying to get some info on em. If anyone has one, just a simple hyd ram pipe bender (not tubing), I need the CLR (center line radius) of 1.5" sch 40 pipe. I have looked at just about every website and can't find shit on the dies or any bender.

 Re: Hydraulic pipe benders
It's sitting on a 1" plate with holes drilled in different locations to move your dies where you want. Has a 5 hp 220 motor on it. Has dies for 3/4", 1" and 2" square tubing and 1" and 1 1/4" pipe. I bent a piece of 2x2x3/16 in about a 45* and it could have done more but didn't like it. Seems to work well but I need to get a 1 1/2" and 2" round die for it.
The dies have nuts welded on them and the shaft on the cylinder has threads cut in it to screw them on there.
Only thing is, I don't know the tonnage of the hydraulic cylinder. All it says on it is 2500psi max.
Here's a few pictures.

 Re: Hydraulic pipe benders
One of my neighbors bought a exhaust pipe bender many years ago. I use it all the time to bend aluminum pipe/tube. The pipe needs to be a none 6000 grade alum. It will snap like a twig. I will say I have looked at building my own pipe bender and looked at several different types. Just when I get ready to plunk my money down I tell myself not to do it. I have used my log splitter to bend some pipe. If a guy got creative you could build a bender using the log splitter. Make it where you can remove the dies. I get in a frenzy about once a year to build one and then ride my four wheeler to my neighbors and use his bender and that takes care of my wants and desires.

 Re: Hydraulic pipe benders
For the tiller handle on my motor I just used a vice, a torch, and elbow grease
It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

 Re: Hydraulic pipe benders
Nah, not on this. Making a custom intake for my Kawi. Can't hardly find and pipe 90's, and the places I do, they want a $150 min order. I have the pipe, just need to bend and play around with it. Its going to be similar to the old EVT intake, but the kawi intake end is almost rectangle with rounded corners. Thus I bought another intake, cut off the ends to use and going to weld the pipe to it, then blend in the inside to port match. I would try SS, because I can get plenty mandrel bends, but its the intake portion that I'm scratching my head at. If the aluminum don't work out, I already started making a jig to press out round tubing into that rectangular shape.
