Yep, missed us by about two miles. Thanks for all the texts and well wishes I received from all of you guys today and yesterday. It means a lot to me.

We were definitely lucky, lots of people lost everything they had. No casualties in our city that I know of either. There were reports of a few in a town next to us, but I think that was later attributed to a traffic accident, not the tornado. Material things can be replaced. I hope everyone affected gets back on their feet soon.

Some folks that my wife knows had a few sections of their roof torn off and most of the windows blown out, but everyone was ok.

The couple of mmt folks I know are very close to my house and still west of the major damage area. If anyone knows of anyone whose houses or cars were destroyed in the area, please post up if there is anything the rest of us can do to help. I've seen some pics and it's pretty rough. We haven't driven over there because the first responders asked that anyone who doesn't need to be in the area stay away from it.

Unfortunately there has been reports of some dirtbags out looting. I know the swat team is out and about, as is most everyone else in the PD and FD.

Good to hear every one is ok. My family's prayers are with everyone in Yalls area !!! I know yall had to have it pretty bad ! We have not had a drop of rain all day and yet the bayou is starting to flood my yard. The wind is blowing that hard. Iv only seen the bayou get this high one time and that was due to rain !

They were just talking specifically about rowlette and the damage and the looters on the news. I'm a ways away from you, but you have my number so call if you need.

Prayers and best wishes, in '13 we had a tornado hit up this way that leveled a town 5 mins from home and they're still recovering. God bless.
