True. They will have plenty but with all the pressure they will be rafted up in Breton Sound during the day and come in to feed at night or they will just stay along the river banks. Better kill what you can during the first split cause the duck dynasty Crew will run them ducks out quick fa sho. After making a teal hunt down there I'm sure glad I have leased land in lafitte cause in my 25 years of hunting ducks I have never witnessed anything this bad with yo yos setting up 60 yards from ya even when they know your there!

Navigable waterway is, in a nutshell, defined by high tide tidal mark on "historically" identified waterways. And yes, all of that land is owned...either by Grand Prairie Levee District or Eugene DeArmos "and others" (translation of the Latin, "et al" for those that didn't know). There is no "public land" in that area. Public water, yes....land, no. Granted, if you look at that area from a satelite view today, it looks like all water. But, the documented land owners on the original land plats own, what back then was considered land...but, not what was considered water.

I agree, it is very hard to determine these days what is land and what is navigable water. My suggestion to CrazyBrady, et al, , take a few suggestions from what has already been mentioned in this thread:

Have the land professionally surveyed and posted per the original land plat survey on record with the Parish. That legally and properly identifies the property boundaries...and legally identifies it as private property.

Address concerns/issues with the individuals face to face. Sure, there are going to be some punk, DC wannabe's with no respect for other people's property, hunting location or others in general. This younger generation does not have the social skills to interact with people on a face to face basis. Their social skills are pretty much defined by what can be encompassed in a text message, facebook post, tweet or some other electronic media outlet. So, if they lack the social skills, then there is the option of writing down boat numbers and reporting the situation. Ask Mr. Green Jeans to come down and monitor/enforce the situation.

Going on the internet and threatening damage to a person's personal property and/or bodily harm to a person is pretty much borderline cyber threats/cyber bullying...which there are laws against. He has pretty much convicted himself if somebody's boat has been intentionally damaged...be it plug removed or holes shot through the hull...by announcing it on the world wide web.

There is a lot you can do to you property under water..... you can add some structure that does not impede fish or tide to your land under water...I know people that use cinder blocks to keep boats out of coves on their property.....

This problem exist every place! If you have an area that is known for having ducks then get ready for the asshat flotilla. For the most part what I've seen its all either teenagers or younger guys in our parts. Gets so bad by me I hunt WMAs to get away from the bullshit. If you're not running someone off you'll have boats racing all over trying to " see where the birds are". Soon the birds will be gone but then that just makes them ride around even more because now they're determined to find that honey hole they've passed up the other 15 times they rode around there.
