 Re: Sport v
I am interested in the fasted speed out of a gator trax big boat something over 17x 52. I do think the gear ratio has something to do with it. The gear ratio for the unit I would guess will have to be a little different if you are going to run a stock 35 the ratio will have to be different than running a 7000???? If you take a stock mb 35 an make it a 7000 to get the best performance you need to change your gear ratio right? I have had a pd and grt in the past and both have there place I wanted to give a little feed back in the way that I thought best described my experience. It is a very clean nice setup both boat and motor.

 Re: Sport v
I think it has more to do with round chines than weight on a gator trax

 Re: Sport v
1.5:1 Every time the briggs turns 1.5 times, the prop turns once Between the reduction, the round chined gt, and whatever else u want to throw n there, y'all done beat this to death I don't care anymore, my inboard will go anywhere I point it while pulling a gt, attached to a pd, attached to a MB, while they all n reverse

 Re: Sport v
CCC I have drove a 18x52 gator trax with a 7000 it seems to turn just fine for a round chine boat but turning to the right feels like it could through me out the boat. When I drove the new motor on almost the same boat it just seems more effortless and seemed to not try and through me out the boat with the same variables. Just my experience.

 Re: Sport v
I disagree on frogging. Maybe my way if frogging is different than y'all's. sharp turning and being able to point your bow in a different direction quickly is the key
