Been watching the Swamp People Series? Who's your favorite character? Talk about it here! Looks like a well produced show, the areal footage and the timelapses look great. I think my favorite guy on the show is Troy. What's your take on the show? This thread will be stickied so we can comment on each weeks new episode. "We gotta tree shaka, Shoot'em!" |

Willie is my favorite. i guess b/c hes one of my crawfisherman. also the other guy in the boat malcolm is one of my fishermen. Kids got heart. being brought up the way he should. i do business with phillips ALOT. maybe by next yr there will be a show discovery is putting on. theyve been filming the last week, then again in crawfish season. my dads been filmed 2 days this week gator hunting. once crawfish season gets here there gonna follow him again. Ricky Phillips is good friends with mike rowe.. since hes beein on dirtiest job two times. mike coordinated with him to get with all the crawfishing legends from the area. its gonna go as far as fishing, the processing plant, and delivering from what ricky told us. |

I may be totally wrong about this but I recall my brother telling me about a Fisherman named Troy who actually brought my college daughter crawfishing a couple of years ago. I'm wondering if this might be the same guy. He said he took care of a houseboat for this fellow down in the chaf. My brother knows all the fishermen from Henderson to Morgan City because he's the levee policeman and monitors all the public launches on the levee. |

Troy is a good guy I know him him and his family have created a very profitably business in town. The funny thing is they think of these guys as back woods people and they would $hit if they knew what they were worth. |

Troy by far is a good fella cause i can relate being as he is a big family man and takes care of his business and tries to teach them that you can survive on your own and not with all this modern day bullshit! |

First time I met Troy he had his camp in the Orange Barrel Canal. My buddy got a camp a few camps up the bayou from his. We pulled up to check out his camp cause we heard it was for sale. Troy never met me or my wife before and him and his wife invited us in and talked to us like they knew us forever. The camp I speak of was the one on the end of the show last night when he was cookin. That thing is fine on the inside. All cypress. Beautiful woodwork. Anyway, They are all some real good people and would probably give ya the shirt off their back. As far as that Kliebert dude, he's brave doin that by himself. He was holdin a gator line in one hand, rifle in the other, and standin on that go devil boat deck wit crocs on. Those are some slippery SOBs. All in all, great show and Im still waitin on the episode with the two guys I work with and Uncle J. |

Troy is my uncle and that ain't no fake accent thats him all the way. He taught me just about everything I know about hunting and fishing. They are really great people and would give anyone the shirt off there back if needed. If they put the episode of us cooking for the Shriners hosp benefit I will be on it I cooked the gator sauce piqaunte for that .please keep watching every episode that's how they will keep the show on. |

that was some big ones that Troy caught that almost looked like Myette Point where he picked his boat up. I am not sure if it was. My uncle caught a 11'6" last week in our duck ponds about 200 yards from my blind. I been hunting out there my whole life and had never seen that big of a alligator. |
