Why dont reps form the mm companies attend our mud ride? I know the little dude has showed up a couple times promising reverse evry time, but you would think they would pull out their baddest ass rigs and new products to showcase....If Im not mistaken, setx is the biggest run going and a great time to show off what the boats and motors and accessories will do. I know a lot of the builders show up but why the lack of interest from the motor companies?

And I know they do sponsorship.....but where is their presence?

but still to pass up the on marketing, like i said they could really showcase their products directly to mud motor enthusiest who then talk about it.....its almost like free advertising.....I think they are missing out on a great opportunity to also get feedback from their users and can actually "see" what is being discussed about their pros and cons.......also, their involvement goes a long way in making sales...also motor owners love to schmooze with the guys that built and designed the product they run, which goes a long way for customer loyalty......

Very tough for all competitors to market in the same place. I don't think Kyle and hoyt want to stand on the side of the midget saying my motor is better than yours.

I dont think thats how it would go down.....I doubt the midget would show up again around here for one thing....there is a lot of spots to run and the different companies could sponsor an area and hang out in that area and we the customers and owners could move around through the marsh to check out everything........It could be done so they are not lined up side by side and it would be very casual, not like a trade show but kinda.....

It's hard enough for them to keep up with their sales as it is!

coming to texas to run for a day is pretty damned cheap as far as the amout of exposure you get......selling one motor would more than make up the cost of being there.

And the whole company wouldnt be there but a rep and maybe an inhouse guy in a boat with info would be enough....

I wish they would start refusing to sell to folks in Arkansas

combine it with a mm emphasised sportsman show that is land based at the convention center or something, keep the mud run the mud run but use the area to showcase the best the companies have to offer...hell we could prolly do a raffle for one of the little copperheads and raise some money for a charity like wounded warrior or something........but i do like the unorganized, haul ass to the flats and form islands of boats with boats buzzing all around and people walking across boats hanging out.......

I have always thought it be a good idea but at the same time you're talking about doing this on government owned public land. To do it big like yall are talking you are going to have to get the government involved or find somewhere big enough that is Privately owned.

If someone knows someone that has a place big enough (thousands of acres) for 60-100+ mud boats to run and don't care if they year it up then please let me know!

Look at what happened with the original Muddi Gras/Mud Fest that Joel (deadanimal) used to put on and government pretty much shut him down. Maybe that's before y'all's time but its going to be the same way of you don't pull the right strings and its A LOT of red tape.
