ok so i heard that you need to go to get some type of voucher from the internet to receive the credit and once you are on the the website the government has a program that cookies your computer and stores all info and tracks future info too. they have the right to sell or give away your info at anytime to law enforcement agencies both foreign and domestic at anytime. i think the website was http://www.cars.gov fox news was reporting that last week. so don't go to that website

The real kicker in that "rendered inoperable" clause is that they are required to add a chemical that bonds to all the metal and seizes everthing up.

Problem with that is the chemical is on the hazardous chemicals list so we don't know what to do with the cars. If we shred them the chemical then is introduced into our waste stream from the shredder and instead of a non hazardous, landfill able product we have a hazardous waste.

They told us not to worry about it right now.

The goverment has never had to deal with 15,000 dealers.These cars will be resold by most dealers.One of the local dealers is already trying to sell them.They will sell them for 3500.00 if possible no red tape,dealer gets to sell .Used car crooks get another clunker

That first video reminds of a time when my buddy passed out in his truck. We were partyin in a pasture and he said he was goin to sleep in the truck. Upon further review of the "Clunker Rebate" .... I'm 'bout to decide that thays mo to it to put a bennifiet to someone else !! They should've had a clause in the Cash for Clunkers deal that it was only available for cars made in America. At least it would've helped some people keep their jobs and maybe created some new ones. So now, our tax money is going to be buying cars that are not only foreign owned, but foreign made as well. How come the enviro-nazi's haven't been making much of a stink about the fact that we're taking cars off the road for fuel efficiency, and in the process using chemicals that you basically need a Haz-Mat team to dispose of?

If the govt was so worried about these older cars Polluting, why dont they re-sale these cars to MEXICO. Ive been there a couple times and the cars they are driving around are smokin like Willie Nelson on tour. Im sure not every car would be good to re-sale but i bet ya 90% of them would do better for our environment than the ones south of here. But OBAMA gonna fix it all, we can just all sit back on our sofa's and let our govt. make the best decisions.

We ought to mass mail PETA, and ask them if they think the liquid glass is ok to run off in our rivers and streams once these cars are crushed and sit in a junk yard somewhere for years
