All you GM owners should watch this and think twice about your next vehicle.

Ford tough.... they were the only of the big 3 auto makers to turn down any and all bail-out money and for this it is the only brand of vehicle I will buy..... First on race day

I wonder if an average American engineer were to make a new brand of cars and soley build in America and sell, could he make it?

Got a 2011 GMC crew cab Z71. I love this truck but it is worst built thing I have ever owned. Before I had 10,000 miles one of door handles just broke off, needed brakes in the front, fouled a plug, and had a tork converter replaced ( GM uses a rebuilt one ). Since then I have had no problems, got 50,000 on it now. This is vehicle number 21 for me and like I said I love this truck. It suits my needs just would not even think about buying one without a warrenty ;)

Bought my wife a Nissan Armada this year it's was built in Mississippi. As much as I hate to say it, it outperforms any GM, Ford or Dodge I ever owned.

The reason more foreign companies are coming here to make trucks and domestics are going elsewhere is solely because of union labor. Every factory that an import company builds has an agreement with the state about tax incentives and non-union employees. The unions broke the back of the American automakers that is why so many left. In south Louisiana, if someone comes to town and starts talks of unions, they do not receive our award winning hospitality. They might however be given a swamp tour that they never forget.
I buy ford, cause it's a quality product that is made by a company that said no to a bailout. Remember how much bad press they got when they shut down plants and downsized? Now they are opening back up plants in the US and negotiating with unions from a point of leverage.
Fuck the american auto workers unions!

I'll always own GM vehicles. It doesn't matter what brand you get, there is always some downside to the vehicle or the company. I was practically raised on a GM lot, and I'm not going to quit getting Chevy/GMC trucks because of a couple of dumbass moves by GM, just like I didn't quit watching the Saints after "Bountygate," or LSU after they gave Les Miles a new contract. Plus, the majority of our work trucks are Fords, and they have made me absolutely hate Ford diesels. Our trucks with the 7.3s all leak and burn oil at a ridiculous rate, while our 6.0s are extremely cold natured. The Excursion that I drive most days, has to warm up for 10 to 15 minutes if it has set up for more than 4 hours, regardless of the temperature. I've had to let it warm up for ten minutes on a 95 degree day after it set up for six hours while I was doing a job. If you don't let it warm up, it takes a half mile to get out of first gear with the pedal floored. No brand/model is perfect, but after growing up around a larger dealership and plenty of mechanics, I'll stick with a GM, but that is because of MY personal experiences.

Ill stick with GM too. I drive a 2000 escalade and I'm about to roll 300K on her. Original everything besides a fuel pump and alternator and standard stuff you change over time. Had 2 Range Rovers and a Jeep Wrangler Sahara before my girl and they all sucked. Ill probably cry when my truck dies. Lol

my 7.3 must be special....most days i get in turn the key and go......no problems.....as a matter of fact, ive had no problems with the engine what so ever.....i am having to replace the power lock acuaters, but its not a problem seeing as though its a 13 year old excursion....I bought the 2000 excursion in 2008 with 90000 miles on it and have run a superchip performace program on it from the get go. Ive got a buddy with a 97 7.3 and he didnt have any engine problems until he started running frying oil....he had almost 300000 miles when he added the oil conversion.....since then he has dealt with fuel delivery problems but motor is still strong. he has started to have some transmission problems and he is over 350000 miles now......
