 Re: Hey Texans
You best stay home there is nothing to do or see, and their out of Shiner. You might want to drink Lone Star.

 Re: Hey Texans
The riverwalk is neat if you've never seen it before.
The Alamo is a must see
Shiner is available everywhere. Try all of them, but my favorites are Shiner Bock and Shiner Black. they have a nw Shiner Smokehouse that is supposed to taste smokey. If you've got a little time, you could visit the brewery that is about an hour and a half away

 Re: Hey Texans
All joking aside you will enjoy the River Walk a lot. Great places to eat and drink. My favorites are the Little Rein Steakhouse and Shilo's Deli. Both very close to the Palacio Del Rio hotel.
Yes the Alamo is a must
There is more Shiner that you can drink
If you can make it over to the Lone Star Brewery you can see the Hall of Horns. Awsome for hunters to see.
Have a great time.

 Re: Hey Texans
well the hotel is the marriot riverwalk. is it a dive? I still have time to change if there is a better one around. I'll probably going to hit the steakhouse. I got some big pipeline guys to meet and greet. figured nothin like a good steak to talk over.

 Re: Hey Texans
I have eaten up and down on the riverwalk, and I have to disagree, the food SUCKS and it is too expensive.
Beers are too much as well.

 Re: Hey Texans
Skip the riverwalk for food....walk over to Market Square and eat at Mi Tierra for great mexican...take a cab/drive to La Fogata off Hwy 281...margaritas are great and the food is very good as well- Check out www.gruenehall.com and see who's playing while you are here. Go see a band...any band there. Lots of history in that place...it's 20-30 miles north of San Antone in New Braunsfels- Tons of other things to do out there and in the area Dove season in Sept and teal too~
