Does anyone have powerpoles/talons mounted on their mudrigs? My father has ordered a 1860 Extreme with 35gtr for the sole purpose of fishing and wants to mount these to huntdeck... Just curious if that will add to much weight to back and screw performance or not? He is only doing Mikuni and exhaust for performance on motor to start with. Only will have fishing gear for weight in boat though, since mine is what we use for hunting and heavy loads. If anyone has experience with running these on there rig, or preference to which is a better unit, any info would be great! |

do you think the weight of 2 of them on a huntdeck would hurt performance that much? |

And the customer service is great. I've had stuff break out if warranty and they always fix the problem for free no questions asked. If he is concerned about weight he can mount the pump in the front of the boat. Also the new po blade is lighter I think. |

mitch-I'm sure he'll do heads and possibly cam eventually. I just put heads and cam in mine and he hasn't road in it yet due to the ice on the river.. once he does i'm sure he'll want more out of his. |

Power pole. You don't have that bait catcher sticken up when in use. |

I personally prefer the Talon because you can take it on & off. Not sure how you can do that with hydraulic hoses etc. No question Power Pole is better than the Talon but if I was putting on my mud boat I'd go Talon so I wouldn't have to worry about hydraulics only a 12V connection. If it was a fishing boat (fiberglass) 100% power pole and I'd have duals ![]() |

ive seen the powerpole mounted to the HD, used a additional bracket that attached on the HD. didnt say anything about the weight being a problem. |
