Well im headed to macon to get my first rig ever this saturday..I know there has been a lot of turmoil with dixie but please keep your negative comments to yourself...I dont care...But in the mean time I'm stoked!! Any dos/donts would be appreciated! Whats considered a good break in period? I mean I know its just a lawn mower engine and I never broke my lawnmower in nor do I ever change the oil  ...whens everyone like to change their oil and air filters? Everyone has been helpful on the site..appreciate it guys.

Biggest difference is the Dixie has a 1% chance of not breaking.

Someone had to break the ice

Y in the hell would u buy Dixie? Everyone is unsatisfied with them at the very least!

Weight distribution is key. Spend a lot of time figuring out how it will carry a load. Keep your prop out of the hard pack/sand otherwise you will burn through them and your wallet fast! Two speeds, idle and hammer down!

Have fun and good luck

Just being the Devils Advocate here. But, If your going to jump peoples ass be ready for them to tell you the truth on how it is. Sorry. We get on here to find tips and tricks and to tell and teach each other what to stay away from and this was one of the main things to stay away from.

Its like us all talking about firestone tires say ten years ago. how they were falling apart and you getting on here say "guess what fellas i just got a set of Firestone tires. What yall think."

We really are on here to save pople grief with crappy products. So dont get all dick bent when we tell you you bought a turd.

Run conventional oil for the first 15 to 20 hours then switch to synthetic...helps seat the seals better

Negative is what we do around here every body gets harassed one way or another on this site wether it be about your age or what your driving none of it is personal. Think of these guys as older brothers that think they know it all they are gonna mess with you if your right or wrong but are looking out for your best interest so just deal with it and fit in or hit the road jack. Congrats on the new rig hope it holds up for ya, and drive it like you stole it.

Post subject:  Re: new rig on saturday

i have tried them all trust me.

Had a godevil wau back when(longtail) wanted more speed
Went to mudbuddy was the 3rd guy in Texas to have the old Hyperdrive style Likes it but engine(29 kawi) was a dog.
Hunted with a guy with a dual prodrive rig. just wasnt impressed where i hunt.
60 Yamaha,
40 merc with everything on it,
Drove a buddies GTR for a full duck season till i got one and realized thats what i wanted.
And when i decided to buy i looked and reserched them all again. Its what any person would do to make a rash decision when spending that much money. You pay for what you get.
