I ain't got time fo dat!! Fifteen Kids!!!! Octomom was celerbrated in some circles. 15 kids back in the day when families needed to be large to work in the fields and the infant survival rate was high, was not uncommon. My Cajun veterinarian cousin had 14 children. What do we do about a single mom with 15 kids...I would not be opposed to involuntary sterilization under certain egregious situations, but I'm not sure this woman would qualify. Just because she's a freeloader, doesn't mean she's neglectful of her children or that they are in danger. If she were a drug addict or her children were in danger, I would say take them away and sterilize her if she cannot rehabilitate. But its too late for that now. I'm in the process of permanently terminating a mother's parental rights for drug addiction. Her last child was born addicted to crack. |
