Sucks five weeks of straight nights is going to suck. been on this boat almost 2weeks now made 2 runs to the rig so all night of being on the web is getting old. so who else out there that works nights? and what do you do to pass the time? seen more movies then I ever thought ..

I'm no nights right now we rotate days and nights every two weeks, hell I wish I could stay on nights...no big bosses! We bowed up so no movie time for me

Been wrking nights the past 10yrs. Its much better as far as seniority cause all the old hands want days. Plus i just like it better. Much more laid back cause the big wigs are at home asleep. Im usually hooked up building tires so no free time and it goes pretty quick.

Well i been working days the last 4 yrs on the boats. And they put me on a new one so I'm the night capt. Don't get me wrong it's easy work but just sitting at the dock gets boring as hell.. When they run me it's all good cause I get to go to do something besides sit at the dock. and that means out of site out of mind. Water is deep and full of food..

Just shut down for the big rain storm. I'm just chillin in the ship's office now watching the weather roll in. I'll probably knock the longshoremen off at 0500 and head back to my office to finish up my paperwork. After that, it's just watch the clock til 0600... I like nights for all the reasons mentioned above, but I'm pretty sure my dog hates it. He spends all night in the kennel, then all day in the bed next to me.

Man I just got off nights. I'm glad we shift. Don't think I would like that many straight nights.

I used to love nights. We would get done with what we had to do catch our samples an at 10:30 movie time and after that night time. Now where I'm at the lights don't go off and no nap time.

Just got home, calling it a night!

I like working nights. Start a new job on Monday that I've gotta work 1st shift for a few weeks to make sure i pick everything up. I don't know how the daywalkers do this shit!

It ain't bad. I love shift workin. I don't want go back on straight days. You get used to it plus I like my 8 days off.

I've been on nights 7on 7 off for 6 years. I like it better too, no bosses bugging me about dumb crap.

I work days & nights

I work 3-11 but most time I stay for another shift and get off at 7 next morning get ab a 4 hr nap and do it again pulled four 16 this week

Just got done working over 60 something straight nights, fuck nights I ready for some sun

Thought about it but with my real job I couldn't do it, besides I'm not a people person like you

I worked trauma for about 3 years all nights. The last year I got to where I couldn't sleep during the day. Thought I was going to have a psychotic break when I went to days. I never could get used to nights. God bless everyone that can do it.

Start of a new night in 60mins.. Busy ass port of fourchon boats everywhere. Only good thing is when my hitch is over I got 14 days off..

Back on!

4 on 4 off flopping days and nights. Much rather work nights. X2 on the 32% plus insurance and union dues.

Coot just got back from shipyard so lots of new wood.. Won't be long and it will be fucked up

Making paper is what counts, wood is cheap they told me.. Company's have to much money..

No shit, $50,000 worth of hardwood planks on each rig lasts only a few months. You think if I made the deck last twice as long on just one rig, they'd buy me a dual GTR rig???
