Thanks for the kind words. Cupped we have a few spoonies however the biggest concentration is below the Smithland Dam. Its the first dam up from the mouth of the Ohio and Mississippi.

Mr Guidry that was me. That story is why I recommend life jackets and kill lanyards. I would have given every dollar I made the rest of my life for a life jacket and kill lanyard that evening. I had neither and was ran over several times by my plateboat and swam a long ways in thirty degree river water.
After I was pulled out the EMS and Fire was getting me loaded up when a Deputy Sheriff [county next to mine ] asked me my name. I told him my name. He said it out loud as he was writing it down and looking oddly at me. I am wearing heavy winter cloths and Gruden bibs. One of the City Officers heard it and said 'our Randy' and then one of the fireman looked at me again and said 'yes our Randy'. They loaded me up and hauled ass. When we got to the hospital the EMS guy asked me who I was. I said my name. And he said again 'who are you'? I was very very cold and did not know how to answer him. He said ' I don't know who you are but every stop light from the river to the ER had a police or deputy blocking it for us to go through and we went through a lot of lights'. He said that is the fastest trip they had ever made. I knew then I was going to be O.K.
The newspaper also read 'Rescuer Rescued'. I had saved a woman's life recently and was given a life saving award.

Voodoo I was in the water some where around 40 mins or so total. The winter swim occurred around Jan 10, 2010. I did a play by play on here about it.

The news had me wearing a life jacket. I can assure you I wish I had one on. For the record I did not have one on. Like most fisherman I thought I could get to it when shit hit the fan however in this incidence it was lightening bolt fast.
