how u set up ur jugs
you boys prefer one way over the other? just curious
i have friends that don't put weights, some put hook on bottom some put hooks about a foot above the weight some put hooks foot under the surface some put hooks with their own line about a foot off the main line just wondering that's all.

Re: how u set up ur jugs
My hooks are at different depths with the bendable decoy weights on them. Makes it easy to store with wrapping the weight around the noodle
My biggest issue is the hook. I have trot line hooks but I fine I lose fish if jugs are left for a while. About to switch to circle hooks or treble hooks

Re: how u set up ur jugs
Circle hooks work the best for me. I use small weights like 1/4-1/2 oz, and when I make new jugs I cut the line at random lengths. From 3-6 foot. I never thought circle hooks would work, but since the switch from j to circle I catch alot more fish

Re: how u set up ur jugs
I've been having a problem with fish just stealing my bait and getting off I'm using #5 circle hooks no weights fishing about 3-4 feet deep only thing I can come up with is I'm fishing to shallow and only having little fish nibble my bait off or my hooks are to big what do you guys think

Preferably directly in front of me. Only way to get correct cheek to boob action while motor boating.
Oops, misunderstood the question.
