No one hurt, but Will and passenger got WET!
We had to catch the boat and bring it to pick up the ejected passengers.

Not exactly sure what happened but it was fast Running along about 33 and then got flipped out the left side and I was tangled up in the chair my sister was sitting in. I'm gonna go back and look but I'm thinking I caught an old duck blind post or something... I'll be honest, I wasn't wearing the kill lanyard but will for now on! When we popped up, the boat was 100 yards away idling in circles. If we'd been the only boat it would've been rough swimming down the boat and getting back in it...

i was riding along and come out from behind the island and didnt see wills boat, looked to the right, and the boat is spinning circles with no one in it then about 100 yards to the left is will and his sister standing up in the pads funny thing is is that right before the mishap, we were looking at some rain clouds and buddy says im about to head on i don't wanna get wet, then will says hell i get wet every day, its called a shower, then we go to riding again and soon as i looked up he was swimming haha |

You know, I've learned it really does no good to preach about life jackets or lanyards. Your either dead or injured before being convinced. I saw one person at the Caddo Run, besides me, wearing a life vest. Like with bass fishing tournaments, it ought to be mandatory that you wear a life vest to participate, simple as that. What I found incredible was that those with small children had the children in life vests but the parents were not. That is damn stupid. If your child is thrown and injured you will be useless to help if you are momentarily knocked unconscious and drown. |

Tal threw me out of his Dugas crawfish skiff. We hit a wake from another boat and that skiff did a hard left and I went out to the right. The crazy thing is that I did not have my auto inflate on. I had just taken it off and had it sitting beside me. I had worn it at all times while in the boat and for some reason had taken it off. The good news was I landed in about a foot of alligator infested waters and buried in mud. The other time is well documented incident that occurred in the winter when I got thrown from my plateboat into the Ohio River. Another time I was running beaver traps in the flood water and decided to cut down a ditch to scout for another trapping spot. I was going with the rushing water and came around a sharp corner and there was no right or left turn with a large tree limb about three feet off the water going all the way across. I was unable to duck under it with all the trapping gear in the boat. I hit the limb right dead center of my hips. I folded over it and the boat continued on and I was hanging from the limb. Now its WINTER and I had to let go of the limb drop into winter temp rushing flood water and swim after my GDSD which is now bouncing off every tree in the flooded timber. I swam the creek climbed out and ran in knee deep water until I could get to the boat. I got more incidents than this too. Notice none of these incidents are me doing crazy stunts. Its me and my boats out working. Use my lucky incidents to be the motivation for wearing kill cords and life jackets. Netman |

Havent been thrown out yet, been close though was running back to the ramp one day and was going across this shelf of mud and the prop popped up, I threw it back down and by doing so overloaded the engine and it stalled out. Flew from the back of the boat to the front and hit my head on the bench up front. I was knocked out for a few minutes and had to think about what had just happened, figured out I was low on gasoline and kinda put two and two together. It happens scary fast and ya cant predict when stuff like that will happen just be sure to wear your killswitch and PFD. |

HuntingRDR and I were on a lake one evening waiting for the sun to go down so we could bowfish. We decided to play around in the lillies that were about 2-3 foot above the water and he wanted me to fillm. So I'm sitting in a folding chair while he drives and we were making a turn back towards the lillies. We had a lot of room so he was purposely sliding through the turn. Unfortunately we started running out of room and I hear "oh shit, hold on". In that same instance, before I even had time to grab on to anything, the back corner stuck and stopped the slide. Buuuuut I didn't stop. I was recording the whole time, but the camera wasn't waterproof so no footage was recovered. |
