There were some news reports about Target getting hacked between Black Friday and sometime recently. My wife shops Target A LOT! Called my bank and just cancelled that one debit card. It was our primary spending account. Bank said I didn't need to cancel mine because only the MasterCard accounts were compromised, so far. Told her I still wanted to cancel my Visa debit card and get a new one. Tells me it's going to cost $5 in a tone that suggested that $5 was really going to break me.
I told her $5 was cheap insurance. Sent using Morse Code from my not so smart phone.
