Post New dog to go with the mud boat
Here's Tule! bought him as a trained dog from Lee Salmon, Wind River Labs in Washington State!

I flew up to Seattle last weekend and picked him up.

Lee and her friend Dave, another retriever trainer, got Tule and I acquainted and working together at "Pepper's Retriever Grounds".

Pepper's is a beautiful training facility about 40 minutes from Seattle. It's first rate with great ponds, covers, fields and facilities. It's also the venue for many Hunt tests and field trials. It's open to the public with a fee of $15 per dog, per day which pays for the maintenance of the grounds. Bob Pepper was a pro trainer who passed away a few years ago and left the property in a Trust to be protected from development and maintained as a Dog Training area.

Anyway, Tule and I flew back to California on Sunday morning. We spent all day Monday with a friend of mine who worked with Mark Mosher training and trialing labs in Maine several years ago.

We started working Tule out of the boatblind using the dog ladder.
He is proving to be a willing student

Our maiden hunting voyage to "Tule Lake" is little over a week away! I think it's gonna be a hoot! Report to follow!!
