Post toledo bend or others
making a group trip with the ole lady and a few more ppl sometime in march. was looking at cabins in toledo bend and a few others. Any suggestions of cabins anywhere else in LA to look at? figured some of you have made some of these trips. Fishing hiking etc whatever it may be just something different than the damn beach

The only ones I've stayed at was North and South Toledo Bend State Park. The cabins are nice and right on the water with boat launch rear by.

Darbonne lake in Farmerville is about the same distance as Toledo from you. Nice cabins and plenty of lake to fish and ride but that's about all that's there.

Caney lake in Chatham has nice cabins also. And they are lake front with walking trails throughout the campground. Great fishing also.

We went to chicot state park last year for Labor Day and are gonna go back this year. It has some nice cabins on the water that sleep 10 people. If u do any ridin u will see the whole lake in one day but it is pretty nice up there. They say it has decent sacalait fishing, but we didn't fish.

Tranquility bay or bridge bay are both nice places to stay and very reasonable. Both have private launches.

Cypress Bend Resort is mid lake and they have nice cabins. They host the oilmans & mcdonalds, bassmaster elite and plenty other events. Ive launched out of there a lot, very nice facility.

I always stay at the north state park. Cabins are nice and the fishjng is decent around the cabins. I have had better luck trailering the boats but that was fishing bass tournaments. March will be a jam up time to go as far as bass are concerned. Lake fausse is a nice place. Also. The cabins are nice but there is a lot more activity around the cabins. The state park in Toledo Bend is a little but more secluded
