I need help here. I was planning on buying me a mud motor, but the storks had other plans, and got another lil one on the way. I know this is MMT,but I figured other fellow hunters might be able to help me out on this. I have a 50 hp. Johnson that I am wanting to put on my boat after I convert it to tiller handle of course.I also have a 40 hp. Tohatsu that is locked up that I bought so I could get the jet pump off of it,and I want to put the pump on the Johnson, wich will nock me down to a 35 hp. at the jet. What I am asking is can it be done, and if so how? Is there any adapter plates I need,or what ? Thanks in advance Kris Ps. They are both set up with steering, but want to convert to tiller. Will this affect me putting it to tiller ? |

Can't be done as it is. There are no crossovers from Johnson to any other motor besides the same motor in evinrude (in the older models) . BUT anything is possable with the right amount of money , engineering , and machine work. Especially the $$$$$$$$$ portion of it. Why would you want a jet pump any way. It is for more of a rock sandy bottomed area. |
