Then May 9th I lost my father suddenly, now not soon after David has passed on. It's a harsh reminder that we need to let those close to us know how much we love them. Re: We Lost Coupe1975 - Rest in Peace Brother
I'm planning on making the drive up there to the wake and funeral and I would ask any members here that can make it to come out to show support to his family. All too often members' wives see MMT as the site they're husbands are addicted to and don't really get how well connected we are.
Coupe's passing shows just how much of a family we are than just a website forum. Lot's of folks stepped in to help any way they could and that speaks volumes about who we really are. We have collected around $450.00 so far and I have a couple more donations that came in while I was out so that total is climbing.
In tragic times you can really see the true character of people, and this proves what I say about MMT members all the time, we have some awesome people here and I'm certainly glad to be a part of it.

Flower arrangement and framed memories of David. Thanks everyone it looks awesome. The family was very appreciative. Scott (Huck fin) and myself got to talk to Becky, David's widow, for a few minutes. She said the middle son told her that he was crying and asking who would taking him hunting now, the smile and joy on her face when we told her that as a group MMT had pledged to honor the hunting traditions that David instilled in his kids, that we would provide hunting opportunities for them for years to come. We are doing good things guys. We should all be proud of our actions as we give back what we can to our future generations and to the legacy of our brother David.

i know i can find some stuff Exactly what I was thinking! We could keep the fund open too to help with hunting and fishing gear and what not. I'll keep putting a few dollars in it when it gets bumped TTT! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The normal card surcharge will be waived, so if you donate $10.00 that's all I'll run the card for.
Thanks to all who donated so far, I'll give a tally today on how much so far. I would give once a year, every year for this. And would definitely give more. Huck, let us know if more is needed in a few months when my situation is better off. This for sure^^ That's awesome VooDoo Daddy, Huck and I spoke last night and had some thoughts of maybe a scholarship fund or trust that one or all of the kids could share in who wanted to go to collage. Huck was going to look into what was already in place or not in a few weeks from now when things settle down. Any thoughts? Well, I would like to give to continue their hunting and fishing traditions. I know that secondary schooling is important but, that could maybe be addressed by something different. Re: We Lost Coupe1975 - Rest in Peace Brother
It sure was a beautiful service. I bet coupe would have been mighty proud of all his brothers here on MMT. I know I am. Yall really showed our true spirit that we have here. Even with all the arguing that "sometimes" happens on here, when times like these arise, MMT members step up.
Here's to coupe1975, his family, his memories and here's to all of you, the MMT members who time and time again show how we truly have the best damn website on the planet.
I'm thankful for each and every one of you being here and making it what it is. I own it, run it, but it's nothing without all of you. Thank you all for what yall did for coupe.

Re: We Lost Coupe1975 - Rest in Peace Brother
Scott, if those young'uns want to come hunt up in our neck of the woods this year I have plenty of room and would be honored to have them join us. I made a short ride down in Port Neches one evening by myself and thought about David. I only knew him briefly but I felt like I had a friend for life in him. He still is and always will be missed.
-until we meet again Coupe.

Scott, are you still taking the boys out? Particularly the younger one seemed to be the most interested. If you need anything, call me.
See you soon brother Coupe
