Post Light bar distance from front.
This has never been covered. Even though it might be silly.
Just saying.

How far back from the front of the boat are y'all mounting your lightbar. I want to get it right the first time.

Just looking for a rough distance. Right on the front? 2"? 4"?

Mine is maybe 2" from the front. I can measure when I get home.

Although, if you mount it back any the light reflects of the deck just under the light. So if you're not worried about hitting anything, it would probably be best to mount it as close to the front as you can.

Jb weld and sand paper can take care of random holes.

I'll mount it tonight when I get off the stand and report back tomorrow. I believe I'll put it an inch back.

Thanks.

Mine is further back than I thought. I'd mount it closer to the front for sure..

I have mine mounted as far forward as it would allow, this allowed me to also use it to bowfish.

As close to the front as you are comfortable with, so it will reflect less light off the boat.

Made a light bar rack and raised it up for the pointed skiff issue but it works great .

Here's mine. I used riv nuts and it holds good. The little bit of light that reflects off bow doesn't affect driving.

I mounted mine on my grab bar and wouldn't have it any other way.

I have it set up a lot like how a trolling motor is, I can move it up/down 2' and 360* around. Real handy when running a winding bayou or setting decoys.
Its nice to spin around backwards and light up a dark boat ramp in the mornings too. Can take it off real quick and stuff it under the deck.

The only down side is you passengers are gunna be blind if they look back at you, but fuck em... they can buy their own boat if they want it different.

As far up as I could. Basically behind the round bar.

I made an aluminum bracket to protect mine from trees. It also eliminates glare on the foredeck.

I go as far forward as I can without them hanging off or blocking Nav light
