Start offering guided hunts for the elusive GA nutria rat. I'm sure some of those redneck Georgia fans would jump on that!

That be a nutritious rat... Been a while since I cooked one up. They're greasy little fuckers but aren't all that bad.

I'm 100% witcha bud! On both nutrias and gators. 1 aligator tag per license wouldn't damage the population down here I wouldn't think. And especially nutria...they are literally good for nothing. They do nothing to benefit the ecosystem, they're an invasive pest...there oughta be no limit on em and nutria huntin just be a free for all. On public land, anyway. Still keep the same deal with private land.

1 alligator tag wouldnt phase the populations more like 10 per person for couple years. the alligators are getting retarded. all you see at night is red eyes down every bayou now days.
i can say my duck ponds are free of alligators, they seem to not being able to survive long in them....

Nutria is probably the main food source for marsh gators. Maybe there is an underlying reason the ldwf do what they do when it comes to that.

The gators are ridiculous around my parts and it's impacting the frogs and gallinule on my lease. Hardly none left, but the 2-5' gators are ridiculous.

IDK one lake I hunt, the vegetation has been getting out of control, and I was hardly seeing any nutria anymore because of people killing them. Now the population seems to be making a comeback, and I am seeing them put a little dent in some of the vegetation.

They are the one of the main cause of coastal erosion. I don't get it.
