I guess that's one good thing about my boat not having a prop

With all due respect...

That pic needs to be added to the "wear you kill switch" thread.

Any insight into what happened?

Good thing is, he can measure the gaps and figure out the exact pitch of his prop

I seen where this was from a ice auger or something like that but never mind a prop could still do damage like that. I can't hardly stand to look at it.

It looks as though he didn't survive the incident. He/she is in an emergency room judging from the equipment in the background. that is not equipment one would see at autopsy. The phtogorapher's assistant is wearing gloves in a fashion that would protect he/she from blood pathogens from the body to hand. But if this person were alive and they were working to save this person, they probably wouldn't be holding the leg up for photographs with an uncovered arm. I suspect this person dies as a result of these injuries. A sliced artery can cause death just as fast as a gunshot wound through the heart. Once the blood and pressure are gone, it matters not what cause the drop in fluid and pressure levels.

Pretty sure he bleed out. Its deff in a ER trauma room. And there is no turniquet, so that tells you right there that he died. Boats of any kind are nothing to take lightly. Lifejacket and kill switch are a must.
