So she decided to come to the camp with me for the first time in two years. We are hanging out Saturday before the evening deer hunt and I talk her into going sit a stand by herself. I'm like dang this should get interesting.

Not long after I talk her into shooting a youth 22lr. Keep in mind she was always scared of guns because of a family hunting accident that took the life of her cousin and never picked up a gun before. So she shoots it at the camp a few times, and immediately she's hooked.

So then I talk her into taking it with her incase she sees a coon or rabbit. At this point I'm more excited than her. She's pretty pumped also.

Her hunt goes awsome she shot at 3 coons and got one of them. Not bad for her second time shooting, first hunt by herself, and open sights.

Then just before bed, I'm halfway sleeping and she comes whisper in my ear "I want to shoot a deer. "Yep all this happened in one day.

All that got damned duck dynasty you watch musta got her to feelin' all outdoorsy

Hunting is the new fad. She might be the new skybuster next year.

Umm, I'd be scared if I was you! I think she's on to you my boy! lol

Damnit I wish I could get mine to do that, every time I mention camo, hunting, or carhartt, she looks at me like I'm crazy lol

Good stuff man. I'm always pumped when mine wants to get out in the boat to get a mess of frogs, go deer hunting, or take a trip over to the duck camp for a few days. She has been working on my about getting her a turkey but I'm still not ready to share that.

Damn wish my wife would do that stuff ! I think I might could talk her into a deer hunt, but forget sitting in a cold ass duck blind lol.

Well I hadn't made it to that level yet.

Hadn't made it to that level either. I did talk mine into wading thanksgiving morning. She is scared to death of gators also. Luckily it was knee deep clear water with sand bottom. I left her sitting on a swamp stool at 5:50am with my 11 year old while I parked the boat. My son said she was scared to death for the 15 mins it took me to park the boat and walk back to them. We shot a bunch of ducks and packed up at 7:45 to get thanksgiving details underway.

That is fantastic. That is how my husband got me hooked. Wanted to shoot all his guns because I figured if they are in the house, I needed to learn how they work for safety purposes. Now I am the one asking him to take time off so we can go hunting more often.

I don't want my wife anywhere near a gun, she'd probably shoot me!!
