Before I say anything else - I'm not a libtard. I dont think everyone should win and I believe in the entrepreneurial spirit and think nothing is more important than capitalism.

Let's say you used a particular site to sell something and you cut someone a pretty awesome deal doing so because you wanted to help them out. One week later they are posting that item on the same site for 3x what you were asking after giving it a new paint job. Would you be a little irked?

Definitely sounds like a dick move if you were trying to help him out. Haggling and making a deal is one thing....my personal opinion is that you should never sell something for less than its worth. Even if it is with the best of intentions. If they want it bad enough they'll come up with the jack to make it happen!

Exact same place I was 6 years ago when someone made me a good deal, so I figured I would pass it on.

I only cut my price by $300 and he is selling it for much more than its worth, but it sticks in my craw..

But when you do something nice for someone, you have to realize that they may misuse your your kindness. You did what you thought was right. Doing the hate thing will eat you up. Just move on, do not do it again for sad stories, only those you want to help that you know or do not look for anything in return. You will live a longer that way.

So do we get mad at a car lot that buys a car low and sell high? Do you buy a house low and sell high???? Fellas, gotta look at it on the flip side of the coin......

Nothing wrong with buy low sell high but it sounds as if he gave you a sob story etc. Lying and making stuff up to buy low sell high is where it crosses the line for me. Hey if someone has a good deal pay then what they want and you can do with what you wish everyone is happy seller and buyer but lie that its for personal use and that and then sell it and yeah jerk move

I think what the kid did was smart on his part, but to give you the oh poor me story is bs. I give him credit for buying it and painting it up and trying to make a buck. Hell, ive done it a lot with cars, boats, and random shit. But I am either up front with what im doing or just pay them asking price and move on.

It's a dick move if there was a poor me line given. But on the bright side.... He's stuck trying to sell that and you're waiting for your new one shit like that usually catches up to folks in one form or another.

Not much u can do about it, Let him know how u fell about the deal. Friend of mine sold another friend a truck cheap for his son, even put new tires on it. Dude did the same thing, put truck up for sale at a much higher price. Original owner went to buy truck back at what he sold it for and the dude woldnt sell it back at the original price. It ruined the friendship and most of his other friends don't have nothing to do with him, it was a dick move.

Look - I doubt he even gets close to what he's asking. I owned that boat for 6 years and the motor for 3 or 4. There's a reason I only asked him for $1000 because I knew what it was truly worth. I have a brand new rig coming in 5 weeks - - I'm happier than can be. Just irritated at the lack of respect I see from so many people these days. That and being lied to....

It's like so many people have lost all common sense and all ability to consider whether something is a "dick move" or not. Hell, half the time they may consider it, they just don't care. It's not the way I was brought up and it's not the kind of people I like to deal with.
