Sears works pretty good for the money but due time in high traffic areas is wears thin. I'm about to put it back in mine again. |

Does the sears turf get hot? I put it in my old boat and then didn't keep the boat long enough to find out. Current boat has hydroturf but if/when it wears out I'm not sure if I'd spend the money to put it back in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's a lot easier to poke holes or tear the Sears mat, but it's waaaay cheaper. I had it in my boat this whole season and it was ok. If I had money to spend I'd go turf, but I've been happy enough with the Sears stuff. I haven't had it out in the summer to see if it gets hot. |

My sears turf has a season on now and I was impressed for the price. It held up to mud, ice, dog, sticks/ branches pretty well. It didn't get too hot in the summer at all. It does tear easier than hydroturf but its way cheaper to replace when it does happen. |

Anyone know anything about the Styx River Neo-Mats they sell at Bass Pro? Supposed to be padded pretty well and handles heat and cold insulation. |

The one thing I wish was different about the Sears mat is that I wish it came in different patterns. It would be a lot easier to make a patch look decent with a straight groove pattern. I couldn't believe it when I got in my boat this year with a thin sheet of ice and didn't bust my ass like I would have in my last boat. |

Four seasons on my hydroturf. So far so good. It stands up to the pressure washer to remove mud, and simple green to remove blood. Comfortable on the family's bare feet in the summer, does not get slick in freezing weather. So long as I can afford it, I will always have this stuff in my mud boat. |

I've heard at least one fella say the Sears foam sorta degraded but mine has held up awesome. Cats sharpening their claws in it and all! I do keep it in a garage but I use the shit out of it and the only real gripe I could say would be that a few spots the adhesive is letting it bubble up a little, but that's on me. I think it's been over three years... |

Yes, It fades to a kind of greenish color then after loosing the pattern it fade to a light grey color... They have some kind of a fiber coating on the outside (which maintains grip when wet) and have a good layer of foam underneath... If the pattern would hold better Id be all about them, the only rips and tears if had are due to the longtail skeg when trailered, and the foam keeps the floor comfortable in all seasons. For the price, a guy could do better... |

I've got Sears turf in my boat now and the only complaint I have is that the black rubs off on everything. It's been good for two seasons but everything is dirtier once it goes in the boat. I'll be switching to turf soon, but damn it's expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was looking at some garage/shop cabinets and that company has big sheets of the EVA foam also. No idea how it would work, but a roll of it is 7'x20' and under $100. I've also seen some mats at Walmart in sporting goods that looked like diamond tread hydroturf without the peel and stick. http://newageproducts.com/flooring/ |

Do you guys just run the foam over the ribs and push it into the drainage v's running the length of the boat? Or do you lay a piece of ply wood above the ribs? |

Worked at the local tractor supply for a brief spell in the side yard loading up heavy shit customers bought. I spent $200 on B turf to get started. I'll probably have $30-$40 in glue/materials. I imagine I'll have to buy another sheet or two before its all said and done. I'd imagine I'll have right around $300 in turfing my 1860 when its all said and done. |

We've done all 3 of the boats we've done for around 300 or so, but we've never paid for the horribly overpriced 3m backing. Always just used the dap weldwood adhesive. Works like a champ, and it's cheap. |

How much you end up getting? I'm fixing to order up some grooved camo. It's like $110 per 3M-backed 4'x7' sheet. So i can't imagine I'll need anything less than 4 sheets. |
