Pick up new ride next week
Not a mudboat, but still a sweet new ride. Just waiting on the ipilot, on board charger, and JL Audio system to get installed.

Re: Pick up new ride next week
I remember you saying that. I have fished just about everywhere in Florida except chokoloskee. I will be ordering the Garmin 74dv next week. Then the powerpole blade shortly after. This is an awesome boat because my dad actually bought it I just have to buy all electronics and accessories. Hell of a deal. The last flatsboat he bought was in 1999. He never once took the boat out on his own. He would only go if I would take him. He said he wanted a newer and safer flatsboat since his grandkids go out fishing on it all the time.

You definitely don't want to learn Chokoloskee in a brand new boat unless you have a good glass guy, B!
Looks a lot like the newer Redfishers. Although I'm sure Paul builds them much better.
Congrats.

Beautiful! I fished on one of their offshore CC rigs some years ago and that was an awesome boat, I'm sure they've just gotten better Congrats on the new ride!

Nice looking rig. Learning the glades is best done by going with a veteran! Getting to know it takes some work but it is a place to get away from it all

Definitely not doing the glades on my own. It will be with Dave and/or some of my buddies that fish there quite a bit. They have tried to get me to go in the past but it seems work or family obligations always got in the way.

Re: Pick up new ride next week
I know Chokoloskee like the palm of my hand (intimately) ! Been running it for over 20 years. About 10 years ago a buddy asked me if I ever run aground or get stuck. I said "me? ha no! I don't get stuck!!!" Right then I ran aground and got stuck!!! It happens! My bother knows it better than me, last time he got stuck it was for 10 hrs. I know where not to run on the falling tide.

Re: Pick up new ride next week
You fish down there enough you are going to get stuck! I have a buddy that fishes down there damn near a couple days a week, except during the winter, and I have had to help push him off a sand bar!
