I went down to Jack's and ran around in the Marsh. Beautiful day until that bastard of a storm came rolling through. Also dunked the trailer in the river and went to run the pass to Lake Charlotte... is mud bugs supposed to go that way? Cuz if it is, we're gonna need to sneak over there with a chain saw some time this week. Couple trees got washed out and fell across the water. Didn't try to cross them, but if the water comes down at all, there will be no crossing them.

So they were not floating on one end, they were on the both banks?

Hey tad if we can make it when the water was low that day we can do it now  that was about the most sketched out i've ever been haveing to cross logs!

There would have to be some pretty big trees fall to block off that pass

Nope. Like 300 yds into it from the main channel.

Current should be pretty strong there, surprised it hasn't pushed it through. With that current if you do have a full block it's gonna collect all kinds of debris behind it.

It's entirely possible that they wash away when the water comes up a little more. The winch will probably work. The one looks like its just the tip of the tree on the opposite bank. If there's a bunch of roots they may be tough to get out though.

If we're talking about the same tree, the one that was blocking our path was about 18-20" diameter. Not something I'd want to mess with without a good saw. Damn a bunch of axe swinging... We started to work on getting it out but didn't want to eat up a bunch of time doing it just to find another one down around the next bend. We turned around. I'm not super familiar with the names of all the little cuts and bayous but where I was sounds like where you guys are describing. if the water is up, you could probably get across it. The water was pretty far down so it was out of the water when I saw it.
