Just got this today G.K #92 of 150 jack miner duck call. Only call I have ever payed lots for but it helps support the jack miner bird sanctuary. FYI jack was supposedly the first person to band ducks. His bands are rare and have a bible verse on them. Might still be able to order one if ya like calls. Actually doesn't sound too bad but don't think I will use this one for hunting. Rember it's not a kazoo

That is cool, I know a guy who has one or two miner bands off of honkers. That's a nice call. |

The first Miner Band ever reported was on a black duck that was killed in Sparkleberry Swamp here in SC many years ago. |

I would buy a dozen calls if it would increase my odds of getting a Miner band. It's one of a few bands that have eluded me over the years. I have killed nearly 150 banded birds but no JM band. I have called in several birds killed by guys hunting with me that had a JM band. I'm happy for them however a poke in the eye for me. There are many many JM bands killed where I live each year. When I was a kid my friend shot a JM band that was double stamped. It was where some one had recovered the band flattened it out and sent it back in. J M stamped the other side and crimped it on another goose. Talk about awesome. |

You must be in the sweet spot netman, I have heard of stories of guys in the hrch club that hunt near the jack miner bird sanctuary that have afew other than that your the only other guy I know that see them. |

I know guys with quite a few. I am just about straight south of JM. Here in Southern Indiana and western Kentucky there are quite a few hanging on lanyards. Tinman I have killed a pile of bands in your neck of the woods. |
