I know my stuff. As to how it was named? No telling. There's also " Coulée a Roupet" which means "coulée of the testicle" and was thought to have been named that because the water came up to your balls when you crossed it. |

I found this too: Southern Louisiana, snapping turtles are eaten as a delicacy. The Cajun people call them "Cowan", which means something in the Cajun language. cowan is the regular snapping turtle with the smooth shell, not alligator snapper...i think. some people, more in the west,call pussy cowan too. here it is common for the elders to refer to pussy as pacon..(pecan). the reason might be that cowan and pacon and pussy are related is that they are all pretty damn good? |
