Don't know why I tied this but it worked with one piece so thought I'd double up. Smashed my left index fifer a little. But this could have been much worse. image.jpg |

Even though I hate your politics I am glad you did not cut your hand off. The gap between the fences is too big for anything but decent size pieces of wood. If you are cutting little stuff or crap like this that the saw is not intended to cut you need to add a backer along the fence to narrow the gap. |

Lb200 the piece did span the gap but it was hollow channel strip and it just folded under pressure from the saw. No excuses. Don't know why I even tried this. |

I've dislocated both thumbs cutting aluminum with a dewalt miter. My right thumb will never be the same. It's so bad it came out while I was squeezing a rake together on a boat I was building for thirdtimesacharm and has been terrible ever since. Gotta be careful Dguidry |

Like i always said....ivy league dont teach common sense. glad u learned a lesson....heres more pointers. fingers dont grow back. Always try to be smarter than the tool u are operating. measure twice, cut once. Dont forget eye protection. sometimes the more education u have, the more u forget the basics. |

A guy at work cut through his palm doing something like this. It was pretty gross. He didn't respect the saw and now everyone is paying the price. Who are you going to sue when you cutoff a hand or finger? Dewalt? |

Attached is my reminder to be smarter using powered tools. I have a catfish skinning machine. It is similar to a wood planner except the blade is 18 inches wide. I was showing my wife how to use the machine . She will not get near it now. |

glad you did not get more damage. I have had some close calls, but worked out. One thing I hate to do is turn the blade backwards on a skil saw and cut metal. It just seems like it is not supposed to be done. But have done it many times. |
