My daughter just hit the 30lb mark at her 2yo Dr visit. She has a Stearn's infant vest and it works really well she's just outgrowing it. I think it's only good for 30lb anyway. I'd have to check the tag. I've looked around at a bunch of different places online and it looks like I can spend as much or as little as I want. My main goal is good flotation if she were to fall in somehow (I believe most all of them float face-up nowadays) and I want it to be as comfortable as possible so she doesn't mind wearing it so much. I hate having the wrestling match at the boat ramp every time we go lol. What do your little ones wear? I'm also in the market for an inflatable PFD for myself and for my wife. |

Go to a store that has a selection and find one that fits comfortably and that she thinks is "cool". If it is not comfortable she won't want to wear it. My kids got so used to wearing them that even after they were beyond the legal age the first thing they did was put on their vests when we got in the boat. |

Look up puddle jumpers by Stearns. My kids swim with them and they are USCG approved. |

She's got a puddle jumper that she swims with but I didn't know it was approved. Good info. I'd still like to find her a good vest as well. Good thing about the PJ is its not real hot. |
