Temp is 89 and heat index is 93 in Lafayette today according to my weather app....

-way to take a pic of the thermometer after the truck has been sitting in the sun.

Drive 4-5mi and look at it again, doubt it says 100+, if it does, come off some of that cash and get it fixed

It was 102 in my truck. That was my personal ambient temp. I don't care what it was outside. It was hot for me.

He treats the temp a lot like he probably treats "billable hours"....

It was actually 102 behind the grill of your truck. You drive a GM truck, probably an 05-07 model judging by that mirror display that's where the sensor is for that display.

Unless you disconnected the temp sensor from the core support and shoved it up your ass and you have a fever, that's not the actual temp inside your truck either.

If you have fever, go see a Dr. It's May in the South. It's hot. Have you not figured that out in all these years? does this about the same time every year I believe. For future reference, it will only get hotter and will persist until the fall. That's when summer is over.
