 Rockport, Texas
Will be there first of August with family. Was wondering if it would be worth while to bring my rig and do some fishing? Any of you Texas guys have any suggestions?

 Re: Rockport, Texas
Excellent area to fish . If you have the option to pull the rig and some extra time to fish then I would do it. Not sure where you will be staying, but Goose Island State Park is a good place to launch as well as a the launch just down road into St. Charles Bay.
I do more hunting than fishing down there, but PM me if you want more info and I'll tell you what I know.

Will definitely have the time to fish. Will be there 4-5 days for family get together. My wife's family has a house rented for the week there. Will much rather be on the water than sitting around all day.
