Post subject:  Shallow Water Boat Association, Inc.. : Update 10/25/2015

Hi Everyone: I'm ready to prepare and file the LLC non-profit incorporation papers for the Shallow Water Boat Association, LLC. Below is a checklist of what needs to be done. I would like to have a Webex meeting with the initial contributors. Those of you who contributed, please pm to me your emails, addresses and phone numbers so I can get in touch with you to set up an online meeting. There was someone on here who said they were well versed in online group meetings who could facilitate this. If he would please PM me with his email and phone number I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I can set this up using my Webex portal. It'll take about 1 hour to go over organizational and operational details. Thanks.

Beginning to coordinate webex organizational meeting. Realized though that I can have only 3 max participants including me. Thought someone would step up and offer video conferencing for this. Oh well, we'll start with three next week, including you.

So Skype video conference calling you can do up to 25 people. All have to create a Skype account. But it's nice because you can be on a mobile phone if you're not near a computer. Does that help?

So far we have the following individuals who have either contributed or said they would like to be part of the organizational meeting:

Ben Hebert
Tim Babin
BayouStateHunter (does not want to be on paperwork)
Coe Parker
Troy Cormier
Chris A. Estapa
Backwater Performance LLC

Jakehawk9 if you could facilitate with skype conference with all of us that would be helpful. Let me know asap if this is doable or not.

I need email adresses for Troy Cormier and Chris Estapa. Please pm your email details.

Trying to get a conference with organizers is a bit challenging. Gonna file the paperwork early next week and roll with it like that for now. We'll focus on details during the split or before.

Need an update

Paperwork is prepared. My signature will be notarized tomorrow and the incorporation package mailed to the Secretary of State. Once filed, I will received a certificate of incorporation and a certified copy of the articles of incorporation, which must be filed with the Lafayette Parish Clerk of Court within 30 days of reciept. After that the association will be a formal legal entity. In order to expidite, I listed only myself as the only incorporator and the agent for service of process.

We will need to have a meeting to discuss bylaws and designate a voluteer to apply for and secure 501(c) nonprofit status. We need a logistical volunteer to set up and conduct an organizational meeting to discuss bylaws and other organizational issues.

Thanks.

The point is to have an Organization that shines a positive light on Mud motors to counteract the negativity associated with them. Guys who don't use mud motors to hunt stereotype us as Duck Dynasty, 20 something year old, no hunting etiquette, oil field trash that posts videos jumping shit and tearing up the marsh. Most of this is a correct assumption with the 30% of idiots that own these boats.

We need to promote our rigs by having derelict crab trap rodeos and trash pick ups and other good will gestures. With the negative current climate surrounding MM's, new attempts at enacting laws and ordinances to limit MM usage and access are on the horizon as we saw with Plaquemines Parish. If we don't have a lobbying group to protect our rights then the Wax may be the next Biloxi Marsh.

And yes, you have to put aside your hatred for Guidry. We all need to come together to jump start this organization and get all the MM manufactures on board along with thousands of members. This will be incorporated in LA but will also be a voice for others outside of LA.

Tony B, start working on that logo when you have some time.

Great idea. Another subchapter should be started under this umbrella to actively seek out every juvenile delinquent that post a video jumping marshland. It should be militia style where they get there a,ss beat on video and posted on their FB page.
