Currently in Greenville Alabama tonight. Heading to Destin in the morning. Gonna be there until next Sunday the 19th. Looking to see if any of you guys have any input on some good fishing around there. Never salt water fished before and would love to try it out.

If youre looking for cheap and easy, you could always fish the surf for pompano. They hit real good the beginning of this summer so you may have some success. The bridge over the back bay on 331 is another option, it's a brackish estuary, if you fish the leeward side of the bridge you can pick up a redfish or even a few snapper if youre lucky. And if you're looking for a good, affordable charter and want to stay away from the party boat scene, take a 20 minute drive east to Grayton Beach and you will be able to pick from a number really experienced, accomodating guys who can get you on mackerel, snapper, and all things in between. They launch the boats right off the beach into the gulf
