I'm not impressed. That's the liberal way of job creation to "stimulate" the economy. Same thing with all the highway construction that is not necessary 90% of the time. How about creating jobs through the private sector via capitalism? Oh, but I forgot... that doesn't work too well for socialists.

Tell her to fix it up right. That airport is terrible. Been through it 6 times in the last year and it would suit me to never go through it again.

And he was spot on and has every right to not be impressed just like dean can be as proud as he wants. Dean makes this public wanting whatever he wants, everyone can feel the way they want and say so without it being "in bad taste". Everyone doesn't have to proud of her if they feel differently and it doesn't make them wrong. Put the trophies away, she's being well compensated for being a good idea fairy. Engineers by trade more often than not forget someone has to build it, and their ideas don't always translate to reasonable without adding tremendous cost. I know quite a few that even admit that fact on a regular basis, and I'm related to a couple. Point being is form doesn't always follow function, and all the money going into that airport project isn't necessary to improve the airport, yet we're asked to pay for an over built project like that, and still provide for those that don't want to provide for themselves. So while I don't agree with him completely because in this case the taxpayer isn't footing the whole bill, is the cost of that project truly necessary to make a decent airport? So forgive me if I don't subscribe to "be proud of my daughter, but don't be what I consider rude or my feelings will be hurt". The "You Hurt My Feelings Decade" continues. You post something like that on the internet, I, you, and anyone else has the right to post whatever, and not care that you're proud.

And by the way, she's an adult in her own right. And he didn't attack her personally, he attacked the socialist plan of action, which part of the project is being funded by your money, so take what you will from that. Most importantly, if her feelings get hurt, oh well. You want kudos, you take the boos that go with it. But he mentioned the project as a whole, unless you read what you want into it. He wasn't impressed. So what.

I'm certainly not impressed...knowing how all of the labor unions up there work, this will be the biggest flop on budget and schedule ever! This thing will be so over budget by the time it's finished it will make Greece's economy look good.

I don't give a rats ass what my neighbor thinks about my daughter. If i post something on a forum, I'm expecting positives and negatives. If someone thinks the motives of all parties involved are less than upstanding, and chooses to say so, why do you think they're wrong for making that post? Why does that make them rude? I think spending my money needlessly on waste is far worse than rude. Nothing I can do that's gonna change that, but I guarantee there are dollars we paid as federal taxes will pay for an 800 dollar floor mat, or a 500 dollar can of regular yellow paint, or a 1200 dollar phone that will do the same thing a 200 dollar one will. This country is broke because of many things, one of which is projects like this that are overdone without a purpose other than to line an architect's, engineer's, contractor's, or politician's pocket. He can be proud of his daughter. He should be, it's his daughter and it's a big project. I choose not to care one way or the other about his daughter, and I also choose to think the project is just another place to waste a lot of money that could be used to pay off some of the debts we've incurred, to include the social security shortage that the government has to keep borrowing from (seeing as how all those people paid in all that money by law, with the promise it would be paid back when they hit 60 or 65 or whatever age). And posting it on a forum makes it public, and not everyone thinks being an engineer on a project that continues a society of waste is something to be proud of, so they can say so without being anymore rude than you are for chastising them and questioning their morals. I don't feel righteous, but looking at the facts and regardless of where I think we should go moving forward in this country, history shows us over and over where we are heading, and I don't like it. And I will continue to fight for my beliefs and my country, even if people like you think I'm "rude" or supporting those that are.

What I'm not sure of is how in any of my posts I have attempted to seem important, acted bulletproof, or felt like I was all big and tough. I don't agree with you. I stated as such. You got upset. In the above posts I have stated some fact, some opinion, and ranted a little because I was bored. Your expectation that everyone should be nice to dean because his daughter is all important to some big project in the northeast does, however, provide some small measure of entertainment to my evening. Thanks.
