Post trailer question
I have some grease on one of my boat trailer rims. It has grease fittings that I give a shot of grease every 5-10 times I take it out. Am I giving it too much, or is something else going on? Any opinions on replacement LED submersible trailer lights, what would be the best?
Thanks

Post Re: trailer question
After blowing out 3 different bearing caps on the side of I-40 I finally made it to a huge trailer store in Chattanooga and the owner told me the number one cause of trailers coming into his shop is because people put too much grease in them and blow out seals and bearing caps. The way hubs are made now a days and as good as seals are on them if installed correctly you should hardly ever have to put grease in them. Think about it, unless grease is leaking out, why would you need to keep putting extra grease in it..? Now a days I'll add a few pumps every three or so months and I fish at least 3x a week. Make sure you use good grease and it'll last a long time. Also the Walmart atwood brand isn't made to exact tolerances like buddy bearings and they fit a little tighter and won't blow out or leak cause you have to beat the hell out of them to get them in! You can put a good bit of grease in them before they leak unlike buddy bearings which do not like to run with a lot of grease.
