Anyone know if poeple still frequent this place? I heard that the state police bought up 1000 plus acres of it but can you still go out there and mess around in your boat? I also know at one time you werent supposed to eat the fish and stuff from out there but havent heard any different lately. Anyone from the baton rouge area have any info please let me know. At one time they used to catch some pretty crawfish out there and the wildlife was abundant as could be. I may just have to go ride and see whats there this weekend. |

Just last week deq released a statement not to eat anything from this area. Said toxic waste is still very prevalent in the area. I was working a pipeline in that area last year and I wouldn't eat anything from there I promise you that. |

Well that answers it.. I dont know how i missed that in the paper, if it was in it. I know there are some people that are out there crawfishing and selling but thats just through other folks that I know. Really is a shame that you cant eat the fish and stuff from out there. Just seems like its a waste. |
