I'm not sure if this is going on everywhere but I figured id give all you guys a heads up. I normally try to stay out of walmart but was forced to make a trip there the other day and found out that they're clearancing out what's left of their versamax shotguns. I really didn't need one but ended up walking out with one today for $449.99 plus tax and fdle fee. If any of you are looking for one it may be worth a call to them to see if their doing it everywhere. |

Damn... Butt hurt all day long? Look douche, they are overpriced junk. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Go buy some Remington tampons. Slow the flow. They will clog you up just like their guns clog shells. You would never see a quality shotgun that originally sells for over a grand selling for 450 new or used, unless it was sawed off. I wonder if it's made cheaper like Remington did with their model 700 rifles. They made cheaper rifles to sell at the big box stores for cheaper prices. |

I've seen plenty of used quality shotguns for sale for well under 450. 870 for 80 dollars because it needed a new stock. A couple Beretta 3901 for less than 400. 1187 for 300-400. Beyond those options, I don't look when I'm in a store. And a "souped up 1100" isn't a negative to anyone that's put a lot of time behind one. But hey, everyone has their opinions. The only model of shotgun I've never seen break in a duck blind or dove field or skeet shoot is an 1187 (only began using these myself 2 years ago), a few 870s, and a browning b2000. I have seen a broken sbe2, a couple broken ou, sx2, 3, browning gold, 1100. They all break under the wrong circumstance, and they are all overpriced. |

I mainly shoot a benelli sbe2 and a m2 20 ga. Got a cheapo Tristar over under that I like a lot too. But if you say any of them are junk and you wouldn't wipe your ass with em, hey....cool. I won't get offended

Thats actually a really good price if you're talking about the same 1400 dollar versa max I'm thinking of.. Heck I'd buy one at that price just to have a back up shotgun or an extra gun if i take someone new hunting with me. One of the softest shooting guns out there honestly I just don't care for remington products enough to make it my primary gun lol. |

I'd find out what's different on it. I just don't see them dropping the price $1000 for no reason. Them guns just came out a couple years ago and are already selling for 2/3s the orginal price. Somethings fishy to me and when things are too good to be true, they usually are. That's probably the same price as a pump now that I think about it. |

I sell guns at bass pro and can tell you after stripping this one down and comparing it to one at work it is the same exact gun not a stripped down model like some of the guns walmart sells. Also after shooting it today it definitely shoots softer than my benelli and points and swings decent. Walmart stopped carrying this particular model and that's why they're clearing them out which was the reason for the original post. |

I've called quite a few walmarts. Apparently the clearance started 4 weeks ago or so. No one had one left, or I'd have one myself |
