Alright guys going to pick up my first mm tomorrow afternoon. Gotta make 4hr trip one way. & don't really wanna drag my boat the whole time. Would it hurt the engine to put it on its side for the trip back? Or do I need to rig up a stand for the trip back? Any pics or ideas of easy way to do this is much appreciated thanks in advance.

Build a stand. I built one out of 2x6 and have hauled a few motors on it. I will take some pictures of mine in the mornin.

If your getting it from the factory the should have it on a pallet.

What motor you getting?

I built a small frame to hold my motor for transport when I brought my GDSD and brought home my Prodrive.
It fit perfect in the back of my truck (short bed) and stayed upright. I put a strap over the lower unit of the motor and one over the handle.
It didn't move one bit and I had a 5 hour trip each way.
It was simple to build and was cheap.

Thanks for the input guys. My brother-in-law just informed me he had one so I should be good to go. & North La Hunter its mud buddy 27. Not really what I wanted but when money is an object you do what got to.. Plus I'll have it for a season & I'll figure out exactly what I want. Should be good for a first mm.

Just clamp it on a 2x6 and tighten down in corners of truck to the lift eye hooks on motor with ratchet straps.
